The immersiveness of a video game has so much potential to convey a great story to someone, and that story is enhanced by the game’s music. To me, video game music is special because it has potential to tell such profound stories in ways that other mediums can’t match. I’ve loved video game music ever since I was a kid. I was born in the greater Seattle area of Washington state here in the USA, and started playing piano around the age of 7 (I honestly can’t remember the exact age!) Soon after, I was introduced to wind instruments via my school band program, and eventually settled on saxophone as my primary instrument, though I do like to learn other instruments from time to time! Recently, I graduated from the Berklee College of Music 2020, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, and also minored in Video Game Scoring. These days, I’m working as a game audio professional, specializing in composing, arranging, and producing original music. From 2012 - 2021, I produced jazz arrangements of video game music on my YouTube channel called “insaneintherainmusic”. I’m an American / Filipino musician, specializing in video game music and jazz music. Nice to meet you! I’m Carlos Eiene, also known as “insaneintherainmusic”.
